Tasks and responsibilities:
- Work in a team responsible for central and business-critical technologies in the data centre department
- As a Senior System Engineer, with a focus on virtualisation, storage and backup, you will support your colleagues in operations of Linux, automation and the data centre infrastructure
- Further develop of the virtualisation environment with over 100 hosts, around 4 PB of storage and the backup environment with more than 1700 clients
- Plan technical changes and take care of incident, release and change management
- Project Management and contribute to the evaluation of new components and technologies
- Develop new solutions and demonstrate perseverance in analysing problems and implementing corrective measures
- On-call duties, in rotation within the team
Must-have criteria:
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience with virtualisation platforms
- Several years' experience with storage platforms and in-depth expertise in backup and disaster recovery with Commvault
- Practical experience in the operation and administration of virtualisation, storage, backup, Linux, automation and data centre infrastructure
- Category B driving licence
Nice-to-have criteria:
- VMware certification(s)
